teste pain from abdominal pain --worried!!

i strained my abdomen,have possible low hernia (inguinal)--not diagnosed. the doc says i prob don't have the hernia, but i still have the pain. it feels like a dull achy heavy pain at the base of the left testes. usually around a 2, discomfort, gets worse in the later day.
i have to finish school for the semester before i get it looked at. is this a huge risk to my health to wait? seems like i have normal function,w no decreased vascularity--it's just sore,, feels weak gen. in the area. anyone? any ideas. Please.
