wrestling injury

Well hello. I am asking for help here because I'm a bit ashamed of asking it directly to a doctor...I'll go there only if I really have to.

I am a professional wrestler. I had a match last night, and at one point during the match my opponent stomped on my testicles for about 3 or 4 times. Of course, a lot of pain ensued and continued for about 2 hours, even after the match had finished. When I got home I checked a bit on my testicles, they seemed to have turned a bit pink and were a bit swallow, but I assumed that was normal. After a while, I decided to check to see if everything was all right down there and I masturbated. To my surprise, although I reached orgasm I was able to ejaculate only a tiny amount of sperm compared to what I' m used to (I hadn't ejaculated for a couple of days, so there should have been sperm in my testicles). I masturbated for about 4 or 5 times later on and I reached orgasm each time without ejaculating. This really freaked me out, since there was no pain left, everything seemed all right...from the exterior. One hour ago I masturbated again and this time I ejaculated normally, but I'm still scared about the situation...

So, 2 questions:
1. Can a blow to my testicles affect my capacity of ejaculating? I've been hit in the balls before, never that hard though, and never had this problem...
2. How can I protect my testicles during mathces...? We are not allowed to wear cups, so we're pretty much exposed to hits. Some colleauge said that if you masturbate before the match to empty your testicles the pain is more bearable, but I don't see any scientific evidence for this...

Thank you very much in advance...

I suggest seeing your Urologist! Nothing to be embarrassed about talking to the doctor about masturbation!! Everyone does it married or not!!! Even the doctor does it. Get your boys checked out!!

Well, pro wrestling, in it's usual definition, implies planning and choreography indeed, but at least where I work it's not staged...it's entertainment, of course, but we do get hurt as well.

I'll try that piece of advice, thank you very much. I would prefer a not-that-comfortable underwear to having my testicles crushed in the match.

I will try to ask the question, although I guess repeated low blows can ultimately make lasting damage to the testicles...

Oh, I always thought that professional wrestling was rather more deliberately planned and choreographed than the opposite; live and learn.

If you do line your shorts, please go to a professional seamstress who does skating costumes or costumes for male dancers, he or she would be able to make a relatively natural looking pair of trunks that do not look silly.  (You don't want is people to notice and think you padded your trunks in order for your equipment to look bigger, or there would doubtless be some mockery.)

Male dancers also wear something like a jockstrap, I think it is called "dance underwear," it is not a cup but it is padded enough so their anatomy does not show in detail through their tights when side-lit on stage.  (At least, some male dancers wear these.  I had to suffer through a whole Nutcracker that had the entire male chorus of dancers leaping around with no jockstraps on, in flesh-colored tights.  It basically gave new meaning to the title of the ballet.)  I've heard from actor friends who had to wear dance underwear in Shakespearean plays that it is not that comfortable, but then neither is having your testicles stomped on by an amped-up opponent.

Talk to your doctor or a urologist, if it is too embarrassing to mention all the masturbation episodes that allowed you to test what is going on, at least he could tell you what might happen if your testes are stomped on often.

ps -- It is certainly possible that you could act out the low blows by hitting your heel harder on the mat than your toe on the body parts.  If that kind of control is not possible, as a favor to your fellow man and in order to get the reputation as a decent guy, you might at least warn your opponent if you intend to use them.  Then he could get some dance underwear.  lol

Thank you very much for your swift answer!

The swelling theory makes sense to me and I hope it really is just that. I masturbated again 10 minutes ago and I ejaculated a lot of sperm...so I guess my testicles and my penis are working just fine.

The cup is not aesthetic and is uncomfortable...I will try to put some extra fabric in the region, maybe it will help. I can't tell the other guy to stop from crushing my balls...When he had my legs up and apart yesterday I begged him to spare my testicles, but he jumped on them nevertheless.

To be honest, this really made me think seriously about low blows. I target the testicles as well during matches...never thought I could actually hurt them. How dangerous are low blows really? Should I reconsider their use, even if they tend to be efficient?

about*: I talked about sperm...when I masturbated, nothing came out of my penis...

* where I wrote the tube the "sperm" travels along, I meant the tube the semen travels in.  (Sperm too, of course, but you were talking about a noticeable absence or reduction in semen.)

All I can think of is that you had swelling and then it went down, and before it went down the tissues near the tube the sperm travels along had swelled up enough to basically push hard against the tube and shut it.  The fact that things are back to normal now is a good sign.  You could possibly have helped the swelling issue (if that is what it was) by sitting on a pack of frozen peas and by taking Advil.

I would be worried about protection also.  If you can't wear a cup, I assume it is because it would look too obvious and not because they actually want you to get testicular damage?  Can your wardrobe person put in some quilted material in the crotch area, so it is thicker (think of a hot pad -- they are not wildly thick but they are thicker than one layer of nylon)?  Or possibly a sheet of something like silicone fabric under the outer costume that doesn't have the shape of a cup but might increase the slipperiness between layers (so the shoe of your competitor would just slide rather than find a landing spot)?  Is there any way to talk to the other guy and say, hey, it's fine to do the drama but could you come down harder on the part of your foot that lands on the floor instead of the part that lands on me?
