Pregnancy Anxiety

I am in the process of going through a divorce and my wife was diagnosed with anxiety disorder when she was pregnant with our daughter.  She quite taking the medication when our daughter was born two years ago. She still displays all of the same symptoms that she displayed back then.  She thinks everyone is attacking her verbally or making claims against her.  She has made a lot of false claims against me to try to take my daughter away from me claiming she fears for our daughters satety, when I have never and would never do anything to hurt anybody.
She claims her anxiety was only pregnancy induced and went away when our daughter was born i am wondering if this is possible  I fear for our daughter at times because she gets so wrapped up in these false beleifs i dont know what she would do to her i am affraid she would hurt her to keep me from getting her.  Is this some thing a physc evaluation would catch.
Thank you for your time.
Mike

Anything is possible.  But the doctors are pretty clever when it comes to this and can usually see right through them.

Yes, having a psychological evaluation of your wife is needed, for all of you.  She is having paranoia which can worsen if not addressed.  Women can become very emotional during pregnancy, but nothing like what your wife is displaying, and she is no longer pregnant. Her  reasoning for stopping her medication may have been due to paranoia.  Your wife needs help and you DO need to keep your daughter's safety in mind.  Know that your wife cannot help herself, and it's not intentional, she is sick and needs professional help. But still your daughter's safety is an issue here and you're right in being concerned. I hope this helps, it''s a difficult situation for you and I hope you can get her help.  Take care...
