Bipolar disorder

I was diagnost mild bipolar disorder, and I am taking 800mg of Tegretol, I feel better with the mania, but sadly my depression is worse. I went to the doctor, and he suggested to take Prozac with the Tegretol. Do you think is a good a idea mix Tegretol with Prozac?

Thanks,

JD

It is not uncommon for this combination to be prescribed, but you should be going to a clinical psychopharmacologist for medication management since frequently medications have to be modified and that is not the strength of general medical doctors.
