Blue Green Algae in trhe treatment of Alzheimers

by keithy 1, Feb 05, 2005 12:00AM
Hi, my Grandfather (84 yrs) is in the early stages of Alzheimers disease and I have read that blue green algae can be of benefit.  I just want to ask if that is true and what sort of quantity should be taken.  Also, he is on lots of medication for heart trouble and in particular Walfrin to keep his blood thin.  Is it safe to take blue green algae with these other medicines?

Many thanks in anticipation of your help.

Sorry, I have never heard of that treatment. Unless the treatment has been studied and reported on in the medical literature, I would not recommend even trying it.
