Deppression with anxiety

by Sean Reynolds, Apr 26, 2004 12:00AM
On Prozac for 8 days.  Feel a little better.  Question is when do the side affects start to subside.  Absolutely no appetite!  I have to force myself to eat. The other question, anyone on multiple meds to handle depression coupled with anxiety?  Third question is Prozac absorbed through the liver?

Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It is metabolized in the liver. These side effects should stabilize in about two weeks. Yes, Prozac can be used with other anti-anxiety drugs, the most common is buspar.

im taking zoloft, it helps with my mood but does nothing when it comes to anxiety. i take .5mg-1mg of xanax everyday for the anxiety usually only at nite. its been a good combination for me.

i have been on prozac 20mg for six weeks and i have had persistent chest painand pain in my lower back. my doctor thinks it is heartburn. i was wondering if it could be anything to do with prozac as antacids are not working. how long is it before i start to feel any benefit from prozac. am i able to just stop taking them without weening myself of them.
