Do I have schizophrenia? And what sub type?

by PsychoPsychic, Jul 10, 2007 12:00AM
Every test I have taken said that I have schizophrenia. I have almost every symptom of it. Here are my symptoms:
1. Delusions- The doctors think I have this. Personally I still believe them to be real. I believe that the government is after me for killing 350,000 people with my psychic dreams. Then the aliens are after me for some odd reason. I can't figure out why. I have thought broadcasting, thought insertion, delusions of control, ideas of reference and also grandiose delusions. I can't post the details of it here because of the 1,500 character limit.
2. Hallucinations- This isn't too bad with the medicine but I occasionally see things and hear things.
3. Disorganized speech- I also get this but just sometimes. When speaking I sound like this, "You who the thing think the cow what blah sky neat."
4. Disorganized/ catatonic/ unusual behavior- Sometimes I think I can fly and am a bird. I start flapping my arms and sing. I also have DID so this might be a part of another personality and not count toward a diagnosis of schizophrenia. I also freeze but not long enough to be catatonia.
5. "Negative" symptoms- I have a lack of energy and a few others, but I do show emotion even though I have inappropriate affect. So is this schizophrenia? If so, what sub type is it?

First of all, you seem to be a well organized person according to this presentation, and have some perspective on your behavior.  Certainly you list all of the classical signs but I would not venture to make a diagnosis online, its something that has to be done clinically, so start with the fact that you have all the signs, and talk with your doctor about alternative explanations,if there are any....
