One side effect of Effexor is said to be Herpes. Which type?

by HFHS MD - RG, Oct 11, 1999 12:00AM
Dear M.P.,

Product information reveals that Effexor may infrequently cause dermatological side effects including rash, herpes simplex, and herpes zoster. This has been reported, but is extremely rare.

I would advise notifying your physician if you have any recent history of chicken pox or any type of herpes.

Sincerely,

HFHS MD - RG

Herpes has no relation to Effexor.  It is a viral sexually-transmitted illness.
