You are very articulate and clear about your symptoms of distress and your medication quandry.  I can not prescribe medications without seeing you, but let me give you some good advice.  Go see a psychopharmacologist, one who specializes in medications like this and who can get a clear history from you to supplement this laundry list of distress.

Taking one medication with a known dose and known effect is the best way for you to start on a new footing.  Zoloft is a very good idea for that purpose, starting at 25 mg but then going up to 50 or 100 if necessary.  Talk to your doctor about that...

hi, i used to get a lot of the same symtons with panic and fear, i still get guit a bit of them. i don't take any meds for it i decided to do relaxation and breathing. get yourself some relaxation tapes and just do some deep breathing, try this before taking anymore drugs.

Hello everyone...a little background. I started having panic attacks about 5 yrs ago shortly after stopping heavy drug use. The past 2 weeks seem like a constant panic attack. I dont feel like I am in reality at all. The Dr put me on zoloft, but it made me feel like I had really high anxiety all day long. Now tonight I am suppose to start taking paxil, and I am really afraid. I also take Klonopin....any advice?
