Hi, Last week my Dr. abruptly took me completely off of 150mg Effexor and put me on 300mg Wellbutrin, in addition I take Depakote 250MB. Before I was on 150mg Effexor and 150mg Wellbutrin and 250mg Depakote. I feel Horrible, depressed, crying, brain zaps, can't sleep, feel like my heart is pounding-very scary because it lasted all night. I'm wondering if I am having Effexor withdrawels. Shouldn't Effexor be tapered of before abruptly stopping it?

Yes, does sound like withdrawals..the other meds were suppose to cover this but apparently have not...call your doctor, and ask him re putting you back on effexor and tapering slowly over 3 weeks
