I have two questions:
1) Is making yourself throw up considered a form of self-mutilation? One of my friends insists that it is and that I should count it if a doctor asks if I've ever done anything self-destructive.
2) If I think there's something seriously wrong with me (which I do), should I see a psychiatrist

I strongly recommend that you have a psychiatric evaluation by either psychiatrist or a psychologist. If medications are indicated, then only a psychiatrist can prescribe them for you.
