Tension Headaches/Weakness

by CMZ, Dec 08, 1999 12:00AM
About a monty ago I started experiencing what I believe are tension headaches. No real pain just an ongoing feeling of my head and face being tight. I also experience an upset stomach and weakness in my whole body. It feels like I have the shakes but I don't actually shake.

My queastion is can stress and anxiety cause me to feel this way?

Chad,

The symptoms you describe are not atypical for someone to experience if you are stressed or anxious.  I suggest you search this forums archives for further discussion using anxiety and somatization as keywords.  This type of phenomenon is ubiquitous
and not specific for a psychiatric disorder.

Sincerely,

HFHS MD-JM
