Wellbutrin and sexual desire

I've read that Wellbutrin can increase sexual desire in women.  The studies used woman without depression.  I was wondering if anyone who DOES have depression has been on wellbutrin and if it caused an increase in sexual desire?

Wellbutrin is frequently used when loss of sexual desire is a side effect of ssri medications. I don't know of any studies re its being used to enhance normal sexual interest.

Hi Kitty,
I'm on prozac for OCD....I've had depression in the past really bad at times.  I'm not sure...does it ever really go away?  Or once you have it you always have it?  Anyway, I actually have no desire so maybe I should try the wellbutrin.  :)

I'm never really had a strong sexual desire but i've been on drugs so long who can tell if it is the drugs that make me that way or if that is just my natural level of desire.  It would just be nice if I had a level of desire closer to my Honey's level.

I am currently weaning off Zoloft and taking Wellbutrin due to the sexual side effects.  It has been 3 weeks.  I notice increased energy that could possibly lead to more interest but haven't gotten there yet due to the withdrawal from Zoloft.  Do most people with depression need to take the SSRI in addition to the wellbutrin?  I feel that I may need to due to some points of anxiety.

My libido disappeared with the onset of menopause. However, when I started taking Wellbutrin 150 mg in addition to Prozac 20 mg, my libido was back in 24-36 hours!!
