Xanex Help

I have ran out of Xanex and will not get my re-fill until Tuesday, and it is now Saturday.  I want to get off of this, but need to know if anything can help get me through the weekend.  Eating well and drinking lots of water is supposed to help, but any suggestions are appreciated.

I am going to see a doctor next week to assist with weaning me - any recommendations on this would be helpful too.  Thank you.

You should ask your doctor about weaning over a three week  period, but if you have been on large doses for a long time, you might want to switch to klonopin for a few weeks, then wean off of klonopin over a three week period......you should also use that time to deal with your life problems head on..if you want help with that you can go to the new site I am launching today that is a self help therapy  program....www.myvirtualshrink.com....

I find that when I'm stressed and/ or anxious that distraction helps a lot.
I find music and exercise usually help.
You may like to change what activities you do to compensate for some of your symptoms.  Take it easy, don't push yourself too hard.  Listen to what your body is telling you.
Another good way is to give meaning to this difficult period and to know that it is time limited.

Dr Gould has a tapering program he usually advises.

Good luck with all this.  I hope you have a great weekend.
