I have been on effexor xr 75 for 4 weeks and stopped abruptly. I am now taking prozac 5mg to start and ativan. I am feeling gassy dizzy and have diarrea (diarrhea). this is my second day off and I want to know if there is anything I can take to lessen symptoms.  Also very nauseated. took pepto for that. any info would be appreciated.

Please refer to a question similar to yours, titled "Celexa withdrawal" posted on 4/7/00, with my response dated 4/12/00. You may consider holding off on the Prozac, and resuming Effexor XR, until you meet with your doctor to discuss your concerns.
