Withdrawal is going to be difficult, and the best thing you can do for yourself is to ask your doctor to start you on some antidepressant medication like zoloft, or paxil, or lexapro to cover you while you withdraw, and then withdraw from the antidepressant which you will have been on for only a short time at a low dose.

Hi Chrosty,
I truly feel for you.  Recently, I found out that my beautiful sister is addicted to hydrocodone as well.  I can't tell you how this tears me up.  She has so much going for her, but right now, she can't see past this messy addiction. It's controlling her life.  All I can say is that I stumbled upon this awesome website and lots of others struggling with this issue, too.  Please know that I'm going to be praying for  you.

Blessings~

I was addicted to the 7.5's for a number of years.  I had a devil of a time getting off of them.  I don't remember any real bad side effects once I stopped but I am on zoloft now and it works great for me over all.  I've been off pain pills for over two years.  I wish you the best of luck.

ITs really hard to get off addictive meds, you need to get on  lexapro it helped me alot ive been on almost every anntideprssant there is and that one was the best, but everone is different, but you will always want the hydrocodene, and you need never ever touch it again. there is medications that doctors can give you to help you detox youself so ask your doctor , it will be the best thing you have ever done and you will be very proud of yourself when you are clean and stay that way!!!
