How do I go about finding residential treatment centers for girls? And how do I check on their accreditation?

I don't know of a national listing but the  best way to find out is to call the local university hospital and speak to the adolescent unit doctors or social workers. They will know.

You can also go to Yahoo (www.yahoo.com) or any other search engine and put the words "residential treatment center for girls" into the search field and it'll come up with a huge list of places. Also click on where it says "go to web page matches" and that is where you'll find the most links.

Good luck!
