Good day,
I have had a very sour tum for two days (every 2 hours) and find it curious that yet more docs have evinced the notion that paxil cannot cause "adverse events" at all. Its clear: Smith Kline Beecham's own initial brochure said "5% of patients had to cease dosage because of adverse events." The list of those events is familiar.
I took a 5mg dose of paxil last night to see if the usual counsel is true: "paxil is well-tolerated and can't cause this...(etc, ad infinitum)..., the symptoms will remit if a tapering regimen is resumed." I will continue the tapering at small dosages to see if they are right. Curiously, many of the perceptual (autonomic) phenomena of the first adverse event have returned today (6.5 hours after dose), although at a very reduced level of intensity.
Clearly, medical folk do everything possible to help patients get better; yet, the realm of the possible is just a tad broader here, it seems. We must take circumspect care in the way we present this problem in the medical system because sometimes, docs consider such a patient response evidence of mental dysfunction of some kind. Sad but truly, I have seen it happen on many occasions. Please, take care, all. Thank you for your consideration, if it be so.

Paxil is similar to other medications in that adverse events
