have you heard of ocd being the root cause of anxiety and panic attacks?
i have had ocd for 25 years, have been suffering from extreme anxiety and panic attacks for the last 4 years.  i am considering trying zoloft, had a bad experience with paxil withdrawals a few years ago.

The answer is a definite yes. OCD, at is root, is a way of warding off the experience of panic. You should talk to your doctor about Zoloft, but you should also consider psychotherapy to understand and master your fears, which are primal, and irrational, and should be mastered. YOu could try the MasteringStress program above to get your teeth into a real life problem, and pinpoint where prospective action stimulates fear.
