(have only been on 20 mg paxil 1 week, 10 mg for 2 weeks, 3 xanax for about a week, up from 2 pills for about a month)

Edema or face edema in particular is an infrequent side effect of Paxil.

Sexual dysfunction is a common side effect among the Selecive serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor (SSRI) which includes Prozac, Zoloft, Celexa, Luvox.

Other medications with low or no incidence of sexual dysfunction include Wellbutrin and Remeron.

You may want to discuss other alternatives regarding your present medications to your physician.
