puberty

my daughter is just turning 12 and i think she is in the midst of hitting puberty. does addrell have any affect on birth control or does taking birth control calm hyper activity down?    what does addrell have in affect w/puberty?  she is now completly off aadrell as a test for the summer. i think she is doing good. a "normal \tweenie" in my eyes.  but gramma thinks she should be on meds 24/7 i want to have her re-tested but i do not know where to start.  can anyone help???

there are a number of questions here.  I am not sure, but are you suggesting giving birth control pills to a twelve year old who is just starting puberty? Are there special circumstances here to take into account, but if not, that would not usually be recommended.  Birth controls do not affect hyperactivity.  As long as your daughter is off her hyperactivity medicine, and doing okay, you should just watch and wait, and if she has outgrown the need for it, don't listen to grandma.
