hi, I want to help my best friend out cause he hears voices (or as he says echos) and he seems depressed also(well he is, he admits that to me not to anyone else). so I though in order to try to help him out I need to understand the voices thing he says that they are going away but still come back. my friend is 14yrs male, I 18 yrs also depressed, we talk alot and he says that it realy helps when he talks to me and I also told him that if he ever needs to talk to anyone he can come to me and he agreed. anyways if ya can guide to to help my friend out here

It seems like your friend maybe suffering from Major Depression with psychotic features.
Though you are helping him, I would recommend that he seek professional consult. He may benefit from antidepressants and if needed, an antipsychotic as well.
You mentioned that you are suffering from depression, it may do you good to seek professional help as well.
