Ant bright future?

Ive suffered for the past 2 and 1/2 years with severe symptoms. Although the migraines have been longer than that probably 8 years, every day. Now I find myself looking at (CPM). Will there be much that can be done about it or its symptoms other than pain meds?

Have you tried preventative migraine medication yet? There are three classes of daily preventative migraine medications: antidepressants, anticonvulsants and beta blockers. Botox Injections are another type of preventative migraine medication although it is not a daily preventative medication, instead the injections are given every three months. Let us know if you have already tried all 4 of these preventative treatments.

Also, do you see a neurologist? Do you feel that you have a good relationship with your neurologist? Do you feel like your neurologist understands your condition and is working hard to find a solution with you? It is important that your neurologist tries a variety of different treatments if one fails. If one type of treatment fails, it is not time to give up! It is just time to move on to the next type of treatment. And there are many treatments for migraines. Many more then I have mentioned... but daily preventative migraine medication is the most common treatment for chronic severe migraines and usually the first that is tried after someone has tried trigger avoidance and tried to break the pain cycle with acute Triptan medication and acute NSAIDs medication, as long as they do classify as a chronic migraine patient, which it sounds like you do if you get migraines every day (15 migraines a month classifies as chronic migraines).
