Autoimmune attack on brain caused by gluten? :o

I started getting migraines at about 8 years old and just last year they became so crippling and severe that I was missing school (I am 28 years old now). I had an MRI which showed tons of white matter lesions that baffled my neurologist for a long time while he ruled out everything from lupus to MS.
Finally he runs a test called anti-gliadin antibody and it came out really high for me. This antibody being produced against wheat gluten was apparently causing an autoimmune attack on my central nervous system. I have been on a gluten-free diet for 2 months and haven't had one single migraine or aura. I used to get them about once or twice a week!
Has anyone else heard about this? I'm just so shocked, but excited because I have been suffering with these migraines for so long and have just been "dealing with it." I want everyone to at least consider the possibility of a food allergy when getting these stupid headaches.
