by iltjbx3, Jul 02, 2009 11:43AM
I am 15 yrs old . I went to my doctor because just recently i started to have REALLY BAD migraines .. at first ..my migraines felt like a gunshot to the head & then it felt like a burning sensation .. my ears started to feel like they were popping .. after a few days or weeks if faded .. it started again this week after i got my check up actually .. i was fine .. but the more i thought about a migraine , the more i felt it to start .. my neck isn't stiff .. i can still move it , but my whole body feels hott .. my neck just feels heavy .. i want to take an MRI but i'm really scared to find out if this is really serious .. in the meantime i'm just praying .. but does anyone else have a migraine accompanied with clogged ears ?

Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
Clogged ears can themselves cause headaches. Well, migraine, tension headaches, cluster headaches etc should all be looked into. However there are two other possibilities that you should explore.
One is dental ache as in an exposed root canal. This causes shooting unbearable pain radiating to head, neck, shoulder, ear, everywhere in the head and neck region I would say.
A visit to your dentist is a must and should be the first step.
The second possibility is an internal ear pain. Again it is the same as dental pain. Consult an ENT specialist for this.
The third possibility is brain tumor. You would need to consult a neurologist and maybe need a MRI. However I think it is unlikely as you do not have any other neurological symptom. But you never know. Some tumors present first with a headache only.
Hope this helps. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
