Blurry Vision, Tingling..Balance Problems..

For over four years now, I have attacks of blurry vision (I can not judge distance. Feels like my eyes are crossed), tingling sensation ontop of my head.  These symptoms always happens together and when it does happen and I'm walking, I can not walk straight.  I always bear to the left.  And sometimes the symptoms are so strong that I feel like I'm going to pass out.  They usually last just a couple of minutes and go away.  I do not have "pain" just a "tingling" sensation.  The symptoms range from mild to very strong.  Yesterday I drove to town.  I was on a side street and it happened and I had to pull over because my vision was impaired and I couldn't judge how close I was to the curb or anything else.  That one lasted about five or six minutes.  I noticed it seemed that it happened when I moved my eyes (like looking to the side or down). For the past month I have had headaches (and neck pain) everyday..its so frustrating!  Some days I  may have three episodes and then sometimes I may go weeks without a problem.  But I have noticed in the last month or two I have headaches EVERY DAY. About a month ago, I had an MRI done.  Nothing showed up.  My doctor said I have some type (I'm not sure what type he said) of migraine and he prescribed me "high blood pressure" medicine, which hasn't helped.  I worry that it may not be migraines.  Should I go see a specialist?  What type of specialist?  Should my doctor have done other tests, such as blood, thyroid...?   Please help.  Thank you.

Hi,

Could you please describe your visual symptoms in detail? You most probably experienced  visual aura which usually precedes a migraine attack.Sometimes the patient experiences only aura not followed by headache or vice versa.
I would suggest you consult your doctor once again and let him that the medication is not working. There are other very good treatment options available for migraine.
At the same time i would also suggest you to get your blood pressure checked. You can also schedule an appointment with an opthalmologist to rule out eye problems.Hope this helps!
