Welcome to the forum. Are there other symptoms present? Aside from primary headaches such as migraine or cluster headaches, other differentials include Hemicrania continua and temporal arteritis that should be ruled out. Hemicrania continua is a chronic form of headache marked by continuous pain and always occurs on the same side of the face and head. On the other hand, temporal arteritis presents with a boring, burning, or jabbing pain caused by inflammation of the temporal arteries. For proper diagnosis, it is best that you have this checked by your doctor or neurologist. Direct clinical examiantion, imaging studies and complete neurological examination are important. Take care and do keep us posted.
hi Rowena yes i have had this continus ringing in my ears aswell chronic form of headache ,
i have been to see my doctor yesterday who in turn wasnt happy and refered me to the( A & E) for further tests to investigate i had plenty of test done yesterday whilst at hospital one which was a CT scan everything came back as normal the only thing that different was that my blood pressure was high and it was during the time at ( A & E) and it has been in the past aswell so the discharged my with months supply of blood pressure tablets and a letter for my doctor , however 15 days and counting and i have still got the pain but now that i have took a couple of blood pressure tablets it feels like blood pressure because when i bend down it hurts my head i didnt have that before i started taking the blood pressure tablets i used have a history of high blood pressure over 20 years ago but i was bought under control.
hope this helps femmym
Thanks for the updates. It is good to know that you were able to have the diagnostic tests done and that the CT scan result was normal. High blood pressure may recur despite having been controlled in the past. Monitor your blood pressure, eat a low salt diet and continue your hypertension medications as prescribed. Pain with bending down is usually associated with sinus headaches also. Other associated symptoms include postnasal drip, sore throat, nasal discharge and the pain can be felt in the front of the head and face. This can be cleared with a referral to an ENT doctor. Hope to hear any updates from you. Take care always.
thankyou for your message Pain with bending down is usually associated with sinus headaches this hasnt been discussed with me doctor as yet it could the reason why i have this constant headache i did however have a sore throat inbetween this head pain i have been back up to see my doctor who in turn wasnt happy and has sent me for more blood tests which i had today and also sending me for a heart scan i will make another appointment with my doctor next week if this pain dosent ease and explaine to her could it be a sinus headache and if so could she refer me to ENT doctor.
I had migraines from age eleven until about 34. If you have not had your hormones tested, I would. At about 33 I had a hysterectomy and within a year I no longer had a migraine, they were about three a week.
This is migraines but of the eye so it doesn't hurt it impairs my vision with objects and things.
Good to hear from you again. How was the heart scan and were you able to get the blood test results? Although sinus issues are usually picked up during imaging studies such as CT scan, direct clinical examiantion is important. Do keep us posted with the recent lab tests. Best regards.
