Hi,
For transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation, it is usually indicated for various conditions including neurogenic pain. According to literature, it generally provides initial relief of pain in 70-80% of patients, but false-negative response has also been observed. Other electrical modalities available are: percutaneous electrical nerve stimulation, interferential current therapy, and acupuncture. Discuss these options with your doctor for proper management. Take care and best regards.
I have notified the doctor and am scheduled to go in to talk to him in two weeks. I take Diamox to control my spinal fluid pressure. There are no other meds that effect the headaches. At the last procedure the doctor mentioned trying a nerve stimulator. Has anyone had any success with this?
Hi,
How are you? If the recent procedure did not work, inform your doctor about this. Aside from medications, complementary and alternative medicine such as biofeedback therapy may also help provide relief. Take care and do keep us posted.
