I am a normally healthy, active person with no known allergy to anything. I had a screw put in a week ago to replace an upper back molar that had to be pulled five months ago. My recovery seemed ok, but a few days later I got a headache. My first headache in more than five years! I am vomiting 5-10 times a day. The headache will not go away. The screw site aches but no rashes or other symptoms others have described. Could it be the screw?
It is possible depending on what type of metal the screw is composed. Ideally it would be titanium but even that can sometimes cause problems. If it is a stainless steel type I would be more suspicious. Are you comfortable (have had a history) with the dentist who did the procedure?
