Welcome to the Migraine and Headaches Forum! This forum is for questions and support regarding migraine and headache issues such as: abdominal
migraines, headaches caused by allergies, cluster headaches,
headaches, headaches in children, migraine headaches, sinus headaches, tension headaches, visual disturbances.
How are you?
It is quite possible that what you experienced was a migraine attack. Migraines can occur in many different ways, like there can be only aura without headache or only headache with no aura or both.
Your symptoms of high BP, nausea and vertigo with light sensitivity are most likely a part of migraine aura.
What exactly do you mean when you say your hormones are messed up? Please elaborate.
Did you undergo an endocrinological evaluation which showed hormonal dysfunction?
I have not had an attack like that since. But I still get monthly menstrual migraine with aura and still experience some degree of vertigo almost on a daily basis.
Thanks.
Thanks again.
The symptoms of premature ovarian failure are the same as menopause. The cause of POF is not known but women with irregular menstrual cycles are more at risk.

It is very unlikely that the single incidence of vertigo, nausea and brain squeeze could trigger POF.
To be on the safe side and for your reassurance you can talk to your doctor about getting an MRI of brain done.
