Dizziness and headache

Hi, I'm a 26 year old male and over the past few days I've been experiencing some strange symptoms.

Every so often I would experience vertigo problems to the point that if I turned my head the room would start spinning.

So, my experience is as follows. Over the past week or so I've started what I thought to be another vertigo episode, but I noticed that it happens when I am stationary. I don't have to be moving for it  to happen, and it's a different type of dizziness. Sometimes a dull light headache follows or accompanies the dizziness. It can last anywhere from a several minutes to an hour or so. As far as I can tell, there are no apparent triggers for it, either. Heck, sometimes I'll get fatigue when it's happening. Another major symptom is that I feel kind of disconnected...sort of. It's difficult to explain what I mean by that. It's like I'm there but not? Also, I can tell my pupils are dilating/constricting a lot when it happens. I don't know if it's related.

Things I've tried:
I've measured my BP to make sure that it wasn't too low when the episodes happen. Everything is normal.
I've gotten up to move around to see if it gets worse (it doesn't, that's why I say it isn't inner ear related)
I've researched some deficiencies and have found nothing that would make sense or matches.
I'm still trying to figure out if it's a blood sugar thing. I'm experiencing an episode now and will be eating soon. I tried this last night but came up inconclusive. I will report with additional data after I eat.

Any ideas?

Well, dizziness can be from an inner ear infection (even if you have no ear pain). Or it can also be from a migraine. Dizziness is one of the most common symptoms that accompany migraines. Neither situation is serious. I also had ear pain a few weeks ago when I had the flu. Even though it is late in the year for flu there was an outbreak here in North Texas so, it very well could be that.

But, if you are worried over it then perhaps you should make a doctor appt.

My thoughts are that you may have Migraine Associated Vertigo. This can be triggered by many foods.  Or you can have a visual problem that is just starting to manifest.

Sure, I have some.  But even if I take it I'd love to know what's up and if it's possibly something more serious.

The headache only shows up about half the time...maybe it's a migraine? I don't know.

Hi and welcome to the Migraines & Headaches Community.

Get some Meclizine/25mg. I know it sounds crazy but it really does work. Get it from a pharmacy and from behind the counter not what they put on the shelf. You can take one 3 times a day as needed. The kind I get is chewable so, you can take it with you everywhere.

P.S. Also great for nausea.
