I suffer from headaches also, and mines down to a neurological disorder. But during my hunt to find answers, I had a lot of specialists say that women's headaches/migrains can fluctuate very much along with their hormone levels. A lot of them said that puberty/pregnancy/menopause process can huge affect the headaches. It can start them, stop them, worsen them. I could be a hormonal thing? Have you checked your hormone levels? :)
Hi
Your headaches have been present for years already .It is necessary that you have this assessed by a physician. The presence of a history of a head injury or concussion may be significant as this has been associated with the onset of the headaches.
A baseline CT scan or MRI scan may be necessary. A scan of the cervical spine will also be helpful in excluding an underlying spine problem. Although migraine headaches may be a likely diagnosis in this case, other underlying conditions like musculoskeletal pain ,ear and eye problems also need to be ruled out.
Some people get headaches for no reason other than they just get them. I seem to fall in that category. I'm working with a neurologist now to maybe take steps to see if there might be a different reason. You name it, I've explored it. Could it be headaches due to your birth control if you are on birth control? From what I gather, you are getting worse headaches/migraines nearing that time when normally your horomones change and likewise, if you are on the pill/patch, so does your pill. If this sounds familiar, I would talk to my OBGYN. There are other options out there for BC. My doctors thought that was the problem with me, which wasn't, and I switched methods of bc a couple of times before getting the Mirena implant which has horomones that have limited (if not at all) horomones that go into the blood stream. Let me know if that helps at all. Also, I never had luck with IB. Try something like Excedrin Migraine but only take one at first.
I have headaches all most everyday, but if I get a migraine, it can last for days, I usually have to get a shot if I start getting sick to my stomach
