How are you?
Electric shock like sensations in the head can be due to a pinched nerve in the neck. A compressed nerve in the upper part of neck can cause electric shock like sensations in the head.
Have you recently discontinued any medications?
Medications like SSRI (serotonin reuptake inhibitors) like Zoloft, cymbalta, and lexapro can lead to electric shock like sensations in the head or brain zaps.
Please discuss this with your family doctor. Let us know if you need more information.
Take care!
Thanks again,
Bibiana
Till the time you are able to see your doctor, I would advise you do some neck exercises and apply cold compresses to your neck.
Make sure you get up and stretch after spending some time in front of the computer. A neck massage will also help.
