Head pressure and heat

The other day i was driving and a pain started on the top of my head. Within minutes it spread to the whole top of my head down to my ears. It was not only a pain but a burning sensation along with a lot of pressure. My head felt like it was on fire. I was driving my car and the heat and pressure in my head got so bad that i almost pulled over and called 911. What really scared me was right after the pain started my left hand and fingers went numb. After about 5 minutes the heat started to go away and so did the pain. For about an hour after that i felt really out of it and spacey. What could this possibly be?
