I always have a consequent headache that occurs on the left part of my head my temple is beating in so fast that it almost makes me dizzy. followed by a strain on my neck It also occurs for 3-5 days then would be gone for a week then back again.

Could someone help me know what this is?

Should you know the cure better to give a hint and I really appreciate your help.

Hi,
Thanks for the update. It is good that the eye vision test was normal. Migraine headaches usually present as one-sided throbbing headache associated with nausea, vomiting and sensitivity to light and sound. There is a type of migraine, hemiplegic migraine which presents with numbness also. For proper diagnosis, have this checked by your doctor or be referred to a neurologist. Your headache journal will be very helpful in your check-up. Both abortive and preventive medications prescribed by your doctor may help. Take care and hope to hear from you soon.

Hi,

As of now I am doing okay and havent experience headache in the past 2 days, but I am still troubled because when it occurs it really get into my nerve and I can't do anything because of it. I never had any trauma in the head nor in the neck in my history.

What I could notice is that, it normally occurs early in the morning and before I went to sleep. And yes, when I had a headache I am sensitive with bright light it makes me feel it even worse. Also what is naive is that I can only feel the pain in the left part of my head and sometimes it comes with numbness or locking of the jaw and difficulty in chewing. When I got my eye vision test with an Opthometrist I dont have any problem with my visual.

Thanks for your time to help me figure this out.

Hi,
How are you? Are there other symptoms like vomiting or sensitivity to light or sound? If there is no history of trauma to your head or neck, this could be due to primary headaches such as migraine or cluster headaches. Rest, ice pack, avoidance of triggers and prescription medications may help provide relief. A headache journal or the migraine tracker in this forum may also help identify possible triggers that you could avoid. If it persists, you may need to have this checked by your doctor for proper evaluation. Take care and do keep us posted.
