Hi,
How old are you?
Would you be able to describe the headache?
Where is it located?
Is it throbbing,sharp,stabbing,shooting?
Any associate dizziness or giddiness?
Any eye problems? cataracts, doubling of vision?
Any weakness?
I suggest you dont readily or abruptly stand from a sitting or lying position as this may cause dizziness and even headaches due to a sudden pooling of blood in the lower extremities effected by the pull of gravity. This decreases blood returning to the heart and brain .Thus, may further decrease blood pressure. Your blood pressure is within the normal range yet is is in the low end.Are you taking antihypertensive medications? Vasodilators?
When you are lying down, take some time to sit and dangle your legs at the edge of the bed before standing up. Drink a lot of fluids and eat a balanced meal.
I suggest you observe if this happens again and what circumstances are associated with the headaches.Discuss with your physician also the possibilty of some of your medications causing the headaches.
Keep us posted. I hope this helps.
I am 40, the headache is very vice like, almost like a bad sinus headache but only on the top and sides above the ears. I have no dizziness or giddiness, no eye problems or weakness.
