Headache wakes me up
I am 48 and have been having these strange headaches during the night, they actually wake me up from sleep. The headache is on the top of my head and around temples. A throbbing headache. It goes away once I am up. I am in good health, with no health issues. I don't take any medications, otherthan flax seed oil capsules. I don't get much exercise and am no longer menstrating.

hI,

I have headaches that wake me up also. Or I wake up with them.  They have been determined to be migraines.  However, mine last even when I'm up and last for 8-10 hours.

There are also nocturnal headaches other than migraines. You have to see a doctor first and rule out any intracranial problems, sleep apnea, hypertension, etc.

I'm sure the problem could be solved with a little investigative work.  Good luck.
