Help

I am two months pregnant, last week i started having a headache and pain increased as I bent over. The only position that is comfortable is lying down or standing. sitting causes me to have extreme pain in my neck and head. My ears seem muffled at times but goes away when I lay down. I also lost weight because I was not ablel to keep anything down. I have been taking Tylenol and sudafed because I thought it was sinus pressure, but it's been over a week and it has not gone away. I went to see the doctor, and was told that it was part of the pregnancy and keep taking what I am taking because other meds cannot be prescribed. What is wrong with me? This is so painful.

I have a hard time hearing too, it goes away when I lay down, weird. yesterday I had a class until 4pm, i went to use the restroom and felt nauseous, I vomited all over the place, not so good, but after the vomiting bright blood followed it. I am not sure if it came from my nasal passages or my stomach, but since then the pressure on my neck has lessened and my headache is almost completely gone. I was so scared though. I feel so much better today.

Hi,
Thanks for the update. I agree that not all pregnancies are the same. To rule out sinus, positional and ear issues, you may need to be checked by your ear doctor. This will also ease any worries that could also affect your baby's growth and development. Take care always.

I understand that pregnancy can bring on many additional stresses to the body, but this is not my first go at it, I have 2 children already, and with those pregnancies I had no symptoms except hunger! I imagine it's true that not all pregnancies are the same. It's just worrysome because the other two pregnancies went so well.

Hi,
How are you? During the first trimester or three months, nausea, vomiting, headache and many other symptoms can be felt due to the increased pregnancy hormone. These usually resolve after the third month and in the course of pregnancy when the hormone stabilizes. In particular, migraine headaches are commonly observed and may be managed with rest, ice packs, and pain medications. Indeed, avoid taking other medicines since they can be harmful to your baby. Regular prenatal consult is highly recommended. Complementary and alternative medicine including relaxation techniques may help at this time. Take care and best regards.
