Hemiplegic Migraine long term effects

I was diagnosed  with hemiplegic migraines about 5 years ago.  I get the confusion, auras (most of the time there is no pain),  lack of motor functions, speech  etc and my left side paralysis. I get these at least 1 or 2 times a year and I have permanent weakness in my arm and left leg.  
I had regular migraines when I was younger but these migraines started when I was in my early 50s.  I have been told by my family that I they have seen a change in my personality (not a good change).  I have always been an outgoing person and very talkative but not so much now. I used to love to be around people but not as much  now.

Could these migraines have anything to do with personality changes?  I know for a fact it has made a big difference in my balance.

Hemiplegic migraine may not directly impact personality. This is however a very debilitating condition and dealing with it is not an easy task and result in mild depression. This may have resulted in changing your personality somewhat.
However I would suggest you to do not stop yourself from meeting people as this would not help your condition in any way.
Meeting people and being around friends is a stress buster and will be very helpful in curtailing migraine attacks.
