How much magnesium

Hello Everyone,

I have done all the research on Magnesium and I know how and why it benefits but here is my big confession.  I have not been taking it much and I know I should.  So my question, how much daily actually has worked for migraine and blood vessel health in general.

I mean the highest dosage that I can take but of course safely.

Thanks to all

Thanks so much- I'll start today!  I handle meds pretty good so I think 500mg is what I'll start with.  Again, thanks.

Hello.

The usual dose of Magnesium would be 250 -500 mg per day for moderate headaches prophylaxis. But it varies as per the patients' needs. The recommended dose is 420 mg/day for males and 350 mg/day for females. But patients have taken much higher doses. Close to 5000 mg/day have also been taken. About half of the patients have developed side effects with such higher doses.

Hope this helps.

Regards
