Infant Migraine Variants

My Son has been diagnosed with a migraine variant Benign Paroxysmal Torticollis. Can anyone please give me any information as to what I can do to prevent his attacks. He is only 7 months old and his Neurologist has no experience with treating this and said that so far her research has provided no recommended treatment. I know that she has consulted with the headache clinic in New York, but I thought maybe if I could find another family that has delt with this they might be able to at least point me in a direction. My son is only 7 1/2 months old and having attacks every 3 weeks or so.

Thank you.

Hi,

Thanks for writing in.
Benign Paroxyssmal Torticollis of infancy is a benign disorder which usually gets better with age and is completely gone by the age of 5 years. Most of the epiodes occur within first 12 months of life.
The following link has information about parents whose children were diagnosed with BPTI, it may be helpful to you.
