Low pressure headaches were seen in patients undergoing lumbar puncture. Now there is clinical recognition of a syndrome of spontaneous intracranial hypotension. These patients usually have a history of spontaneous CSF leak from the nose or ear. It is a benign self limiting syndrome associated with nausea, vomiting, double vision, vertigo and loss of peripheral vision. Opening CSF pressure is considered low if it is below 60 mm of H2O.
