I had a CT scan of my sinuses that showed something..I had sinus surgery about 8 yrs ago..and during the surgery she found a small polyp or cyst..and she left it there and said it was nothing to worry about..she couldn't reach it....and I still have sinus issues...

Im not sure if I should worry or not.  The doctor did say that the test showed nothing.  I think I might be looking for a definate answer to my headaches.  Im probably over reacting.

Hi,

Your MRI does not show any involvement of intracranial structures.

Do you present with a headache?

What were your symptoms that could have indicated an MRI?

An incidental finding of a polyp in one of your sinuses has been identified.

If you have been experiencing any headaches and tenderness especially on the right side of your head then this may be explained by the presence of the polyp especially if congestion and sinus infections have occurred.

Your MRI however does not show any inflammation or swelling within the sinuses except for the polyp.

I suggest that you seek referral to an ENT specialist so this may be properly assessed.
