Migraine relief through Stabilization Splints

Hi,

I have tried every possible way to treat my migraine, but nothing worked for me so far. When I visited my dentist last week, he suggested a cure for my migraine problems. He asked me to use stabilization splints ( https://www.clearbrookdental.com/migraine-pain-prevention/ ), as they reduce headaches. I didn't even know that there was a connection with teeth. Has anyone tried this before? If yes, did it work? Should I give it a try? Please advise?

Nothing in the head is in isolation. Headache can be coming from your eyes or even the jaw. Have you tried an elimination diet to control your headaches? The key is to identify your triggers.

Hi and welcome to the Migraines & Headaches Community.

Migraines and TMJ (arthritis in your jaw due to grinding your teeth, excess gum, ice  or hard candy chewing) are two separate issues. However, if you have TMJ and it is acting up for you that can make your migraines seem worse. The website you gave did not load for me but, all you need to do is get a mouth guard from Wal-Mart or any pharmacy. Wear it when you sleep. And cut back on gum, ice and hard candy.
