Migraines from PMDD

Ok so I have a hormonal imbalance causing headaches/severe fatigue and moodiness--if you have this you know what I am talking about. I started taking SSRI and it works..mostly. But the SSRI's make me tired ( a diferent kind of tired)  I read article that calcium can fix/lessen the PMDD for a like 80% of women. Does anyone have any input/experience with this. I just started today and I read that you have to take calcium for 3 months for 2x a day it to work....did I mention I don't like taking pills? Anyway I will be checking from time to time as I don't have anyone else to talk about this.

Hi!
If hormonal imbalance is the cause of your headaches, then hormone replacement therapy should help. Also severe anemia, electrolyte imbalance, blood pressure fluctuations etc can cause headaches with fatigue. If SSRI are helping, then probably you also suffer from depression.  Please discuss with your doctor. Take up activities that de-stress you such as walking, listening to music etc.  Take care!

The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you. The advice may not be completely correct for you as the doctor cannot examine you and does not know your complete medical history. Hence this reply to your post should only be considered as a guiding line and you must consult your doctor at the earliest for your medical problem.

So after 1 month of calcium-the migraines are far far better. This month I only had one. Just one! compare that to like 7 or 8 last month. I am going to continue with my current course of action. Just taking the calcium 2x aday every day. I only took one SSRI this month. Thanks Dr Kokil for your input.
