My son has headches everyday cant get a cat scan for 6 months waht do I do

My son was playing hockey couple months ago got hit from behind and has had headaches everyday since. all the dr. says is give him tylenol, personally I dont think taking tylenol everyday a couple of time a day can be good for anyone let alone a 17 yr old. Is there anything else I  can try please advise.

How is your son? Post traumatic headaches are common sequelae of injury or trauma to the head. This usually resolves a few months and sometimes, even years. Rest, ice packs and if pain medications can not work, complementary and alternative medicine such as biofeedback therapy, self-hypnosis, acupuncture and other relaxation techniques may be done.
