New, painful and scary

New, painful and scary

I need help!  Any thoughts, ideas welcome!

11 days ago I was taken to the ER for heat related ilness and electrolyte imbalance.  I was on the rifle range in 100+ heat, taking frequent breaks, intake of about 300oz water/Gatorade with no output.  Given saline by IV and began output within 15 minutes.  No cardiac problems noted.  Nothing significant with any other blood work.
Since then I have had the following issues that are new:
excessive sweating in hair when outside in heat, drenches my hair
sweating around my eyes....not just forehead.
easily fatigued
nauseated without vomiting which has been more prevalent and some dry heaves
nauseated at the smell of food...reduction in appetite
but the MOST prevalent is a continuous, constant headache.

Headache is left side only.  Sharp, electrical-like pain that is effected by movement of my head at times.  Occassionally will disappear for a few minutes but does not stay gone long.  Nothing changes it though......its the same with hot and cold, inside and outside, dark and light, lying, standing, sitting, eating and not, drinking water, electroyte replacements, caffine, sugar, taking vitamins and not, ice packs.
Blood work says everything is normal now...and they have taken a LOT of blood lately!  OTC meds dont help.  Rx meds don't help.  Chiropractic, acupuncture, massage and pressure point therapy don't help it.
I have history of migraines with aura, last one 3 months ago, prn meds only.  This headache is totally unlike any migraine I have ever had.  Unlike any sinus/allergy sx I have ever had.  It is not the worst headache I've ever had, but it is constantly a 6/10 flaring to a 9/10 regularly!  (the worst was 12/10 overriding broken bones an childbirth with no meds)!

My blood pressure is 110/68, blood sugar is 98, temp 98.6, pulse 68-72.  I have no significant medical history outside of migraines, ADHD, and osteoarthritis secondary to joint damage/breaks.

It was sudden onset at the same time of the heat illness/electrolyte imbalance.  And on day 12 it's getting OLD and a bit scary!  Next is neurology and CT scans and MRIs!  I refuse to let this stop me and have been pushing thru with
life!  But the constancy is wearing on me.

I have sore areas on my forehead where pressure/counterpressure felt good.  Also areas right behind my ear.  Pinching the left side of the back of my neck near the skull is sometimes helpful for the constancy but does not relieve the pain.

No seizures, blurred vision, photophobia, fever, increased blood pressure, urinary or bowel issues.  I am my pregnant.  I am often awakened from sleep by this headache.  No weakness to extremities.  I'm told I look tired!  I'm grouchy.  It's difficult to concentrate even with my adderall (adderrall).

The only other issue is I have been without my glasses (mild Rx) since transport.  They aren't required but help with driving at night and computer work.  Never a constant one sided headache prior to getting them and don't wear them constantly.

I'm concerned.  I don't want this to continue.  I don't want it to be a tumor or aneurysm either!  I don't want to rely on meds and I REFUSE to submit to this.....but it's getting hard to continue with daily life!  As far as description, it has a constant ache component, almost like pressure from the inside.  That's not too bad.  Then there is lightening like, stabbing, electrical pain that feels like it's in the center of the left half of my brain.  It starts a little above ear level and an area from just infront of to just behind my ear.  If there was a 3D line thru my head from about 2 inches abovey left eye to the back of my head level and one an inch above my ear from left to right, the pain is from where those lines intersect!

Sorry so long.  I'm going to try to sleep a bit more before work!  We are all stumped.......no one has an answer!  But I can't do this much longer without relief!  I'll be in the hospital by Monday!

I have been going through the same thing for almost a year. I have felt at times helpless and that no one can understand this constant pain. I am in process of finding the cause because I have found a very good doctor. I will let you know what we find out and good luck. I know how you feel.
