Noise in head, i.e., air escapting, precursor to Migraine

With migraines and head injuries over a 48-year span, I feel I should author a book on dealing with migraines.  

With advancing age, and following significant time & effort with neurologists & testing this past year, I am realizing a more newly-developed (the last two years approximately) symptom of impending migraine is noise in my head which is much like air escaping, much as it would when releasing the air through a valve stem on a tire.  

Because I deal with severe pain all of the time, manifesting in many different ways, I have my work cut out for myself in further understanding migraine as I live my life.  It took a lot to realize the association of the white-matter lesions in my brain, all migraine symptoms that are regular for me in dealing with my a-typical migraines, that this air-escaping type noise is actually associated with migraine activity.   If I am careful to understand this is occurring and not further antagonize the migraine, with its resulting in a full-blown painful headache, needing sumatriptan injections for the pain, I can use this symptom to better understand what is occurring in my head.  

My question is this.   Does this air-escaping noise correlate in any way to a mini-type bleed that eventually results in those white spots/lesions that show up on MRI's.   Neurologists just tell us patients:  We see these in people who have had a lot of migraines.   But, there is no data or material available to tell us how better to deal with these lesions which relate to short-term memory problems, balance, weakness, muscle/joint pain and so on.    Just curious if others have this noise in the head and what their neurologists have advised.
