Odd Headaches.. Update

Nothing has changed. I had another follow up appt with my primary doctor and he scheduled it for a day he KNEW he had hospital duty so i was cancelled and my mother hasn't called for another appt.

My headaches are slowly but surely getting worse. The day before i went back to school, i was having a small throbbing headache on my left side. I thought that maybe if i went to bed that it would go away. It was 11pm when i went to bed.

I woke up at 2 and my headache pain had incressed from it's 1-2 pain level it was when i went to bed to about a 5. My doctor gave me a migraine medicine to try called Maxalt MLT 2mg. It melts on your tounge.

Anyway, i took the Maxalt and waiting, sitting up in my bed. A few minutes after taking it, my pain level jumped from a 5 to a 10. I couldn't even breath when i tried to lay down. So i got up, woke up my grandmother, crying.

We tried hot/cold compressions, heating pad to the side of head and neck area, hot mint tea, cold mint tea, sucking on mints, hot rag on forehead over eyes. She insisted that i go to the ER because i was starting to shake and twitch and my pain wasn't getting better.

I convinced her that i would be ok and i attempted to go lay back down. I wasn't able to go back to sleep and i went to my first day of school tired, exausted and still having a headache. I did NOT take a Fioricet and i only took 1 of the Maxalt that night and i refure to take the rest of the medication because for all the headaches i've taken it for, it has done nothing for the pain.

Please help!!
