Over a week and still have this headache and more.....

Ok well Last night I was wondering if I should go to ER or not but did not want to have to spend the money. Here is what happened: 1:00 yesterday I felt my head getting stopped up and nose was starting to run so I took one Off Brand decongestant. Felt fine and then around 4:00 It felt like I could not even hold my head up I was so tired and my body felt weak. I layed down for around an hour or so and then my heart started beating rapidly on and off and then I had pressure behind my ears really bad and then developed a headache. After getting up I felt so intoxicated. Like slow acting and just my head felt really full. So around 7:30 needed to get my little one to bed and realized I needed to lie down as well and my leg, arms and tounge started to tingle but only for a few sec. !! I got back up and started to come out of the fog somewhat but still felt bad pressure in my head and just didnt feel right. Went to sleep and when I got up this morning I had a bad headache but no other signs. Now 5 hours later the Foggyness is returning and the pressure is back... What should I do and what in world could this be. I dont feel any spinning!!

Hi,

Your symptoms can be due to sinusitis. Sinusitis can cause dull pressure headaches, sense of fullness in the head and runny nose.
I would suggest you to take steam inhalation 3-4 times a day and once before bedtime. The steam will loosen up the secretions locked inside the sinus so that they flow out easily thereby relieving congestion.
In the meantime schedule an appointment with your GP as if the infection is bad you may need a course of antibiotics.

I would try to get an appointment with your GP. They should be able to tell you more. It could be a sinus infection that you took the wrong type of decongestant for and you are drying up your sinuses instead of moving everything out. This happened to me once. Do you have a fever? What about any other symptoms? The foggyness and all of your other symptoms can be explained from various types of migraines. Excedrin Migraine, heat/cold packs can really help depending upon the type of headache. I would go get checked out though.

Good luck!
